Brow lift

A brow lift changes the position of a low or uneven brow and may soften selected forehead concerns. Brow position and upper-eyelid skin need to be assessed together so the chosen treatment addresses the cause of the concern without creating an over-elevated appearance.

What to know

How it is performed

An endoscopic approach uses small scalp incisions and a camera to access and reposition brow tissues. Other incision approaches may be appropriate for selected anatomy. The surgeon explains how tissues are secured and whether muscle treatment is part of the plan.

Who may consider a consultation?

People concerned about a low brow, outer-brow descent or forehead position can discuss their goals. Hairline, scalp anatomy and eyelid concerns affect the approach.

Recovery & follow-up

Expect some forehead swelling, bruising and possible altered scalp sensation. Ask about hair washing, incision care and activity limits. The initial brow position changes as swelling settles.

Risks & considerations

Discuss asymmetry, visible scars, hair loss around incisions, altered sensation, nerve injury and recurrence of brow descent.

Questions to bring to your consultation

Ask how brow position relates to the upper eyelids, which incision approach is proposed and how forehead movement or sensation may be affected.
